Mick Frankel – Astrology & the Courts
Even experienced readers sometimes struggle with the Court Cards. In this workshop, Mick Frankel will look at some possible astrological correspondences to the Court Cards. These can really help in your Tarot readings. No previous knowledge of Astrology is needed, the workshop will start from scratch introducing the signs of the Zodiac, the four elements (Fire, Earth, Air and Water) and the three modalities (Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable). The workshop will include practical exercises for everyone and will end with readings using just the Court Cards.

Ania Marczyk – Trumping Through Time
Much has been written about Tarot and its divinatory uses, from correspondences with other systems to psychology through to whimsically mystical theories as to its origin and applications, but where did it all begin?
In a stroll through the centuries, starting with its earliest recorded references in Medieval Europe, we examine Tarot in context from its roots as a card game. Moving forwards to its popularity in 18thC France as a both gaming and divinatory tool, we will dip a toe in the waters of stylish French salon life and learn to play the game of French Tarot.
Of course, we know that Tarot is more than just a game, so what else will we discover about our partners, and ourselves, as we play?
